TGIF! As my friend Maddy wrote in one of her Instagram posts, I thought it was Friday at least 8 times this week. Now that it actually is Friday I couldn’t be more excited to get the weekend started. I have some epic workouts and  Miami adventures with friends to look forward to, but in the meantime I wanted to share some of the things I’ve been loving lately.

Here’s what has been on my radar this week:

ONE // The Song That Melts My Heart

Sometimes I don’t know what music I’m in the mood for, so I set all my music on shuffle and let Apple decide for me. That’s how I rediscovered “This Town” by Niall Horan. He has such a sweet voice and the lyrics really made my heart melt as I was driving home this week.

TWO // Old Navy Sale

Old Navy has been hit or miss lately, with mostly misses the last few times I’ve been in. Today I popped in to look for basics and I was pleasantly surprised! Critter shorts, cute tanks, and summer dresses were in stock and I loved pretty much everything I tried on. And to make it even better they are having a huge sale, with 50% off many items.

THREE // J. Crew Fail!?

I have loved J. Crew pretty much since my Freshman year at college, when I met a whole slew of preppy east coasters. While they aren’t the most size-inclusive, I do really love the esthetic of the brand and the way that their pieces could easily be worked into the quirkier version of preppy style I’ve leaned towards. My friend sent me this article the other day and it made me sad to read about how the brand might be losing touch with their target audience.

FOUR // Blast From the Past

I went through a pretty serious surf/skate phase in high school. I braved the cold Santa Cruz waters to learn how to surf and put Sun-In in my hair to try to get it to be surfer blonde (it ended up more rusty than blonde…). One of the best days of my life is still the day I met Kelly Slater…and he kissed me (y’all there’s photographic proof). I recently saw these Surf Style Windbreakers that Kelly and other surfers used to wear all the time in the 90s and it totally brought up a big case of Cali girl nostalgia.

FIVE // Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!

While also a Gilmore Girls quote, the phrase “coffee, coffee, coffee” pretty accurately expresses how I feel every morning when I wake up. I recently discovered the cutest coffee shop in Davie that is well worth the 20 minute drive.
